Rosario Esperanza Brown, the high school assistant supervisor for English instruction was chosen by UNESCO as the lone Philippine delegate to the ASPnet School Twinning Project’s Seminar in South East Asia, held from January 29-31 at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. This seminar aims (1) to celebrate the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development and (2) to promote and disseminate the idea and concept of School Twinning. The Thai National Commission for UNESCO shouldered all the expenses. Total number of participants was approximately 30 people coming from the Asian countries of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Lao PDR, Malaysia and Myanmar. Esperanza Brown gave a 15-minute report on the program of ASPnet activities in the Philippines.
