As per CHED (Commission on Higher Education) Memorandum Order No. 53 Series of 2006,
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program involves the study of utilization of computers and computer software to plan, install, customize, operate, manage, and administer and maintain information technology infrastructure. This program prepares students to be IT professionals, be well-versed on application installation, operation, development, maintenance and administration, and be familiar with hardware installation, operation, and maintenance.
