Last September 2, 2013, two high school teams from Chiang Kai Shek College joined the 20^th annual Biosciences Quiz Bee, sponsored by the U.P. Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Society.

The contest consisted of three rounds. The elimination round was a written exam.  From almost 100 students from different high schools, 15 teams moved to the semi final round, and only the top 5 teams, composed of 2 teams from Philippine Science High School, 1 team from St. Jude Catholic School, and 2 teams from Chiang Kai Shek College, moved to the finals.

CKSC Team 2, composed of Hans Jarett Ong, Kathleen Ngo, Chinarah Tayamora, and Andrew Brandon Ong, was the Champion. They received a cash prize of three thousand pesos and a trophy. Philippine Science High School and St. Jude Catholic School settled for 1^st and 2nd runner-up honors, respectively. The other CKSC team, which also made it to the final five finalists, was made up of Roel Tan, Gabriel Alkuino, Kristine Ang, and Nicholas Timothy Ang.

The CKSC teams were trained by Mrs. Cristina A. Monsanto (Biology), Mrs. Venus Marie N. Llantada (Chemistry), Mrs. Cynthia Q. Yap (Physics), and Mrs. Armi R. Mogro ( Mathematics).
