One concern raised by citizens with the enforcement of the enhanced community quarantine in the entire Luzon island is peace and order. People are afraid that with less mobility, coupled by the temporary loss of jobs and income, and limited access to supplies of basic needs, violence and chaos might result.

To ensure that this does not happen and that the ECQ is properly implemented while making life for the general population comfortable and peaceful, another CKS alumna takes on the frontline. It's Airwoman 2nd Class Karen Bernice C. Columna (陳仁仁) to the rescue.

Yes, you saw it right! The prolific shooting guard of CKS high school girls' basketball team is now "Officer 923035 of the Philippine Air Force". During times like these, AW2C Columna reports daily to work, alternating duties at the Villamor Air Base and when ordered by her superiors, manning checkpoints on the road, or going around the localities to ensure peace and order, and for military visibility.

Karen belongs to CKS high school batch 2008. She took up Basic Military Training Class 2017 Bravo, Small Unit Tactics Training Class 2017, and Basic Airborne Course 2018 - Class 25.

Thank you, AW2C Karen Columna, for helping make our country's community quarantine generally peaceful.

A snappy salute from your CKS College family!
