In celebration of "Buwan Ng Wika", the Filipino area of the Grade School Department also presented a mini-program in celebration of the "Buwan Ng Wika" last August 26, 2010 (Thursday) at the Grade School Lobby.

Entitled "Isang Maikling Palatuntunan sa Buwan ng Wika" the program aimed to: 1. showcase the artistic talents of the pupils in the different grade levels; 2. encourage membership in the Filipino Club "Panitik"; and 3. develop cooperation among the Filipino area and non-Filipino area teachers.

The program presented various programs including poems, songs, and dances from the pupils and likewise from the Filipino and Social Studies teachers. A popular television personality, Jay Perillo, rendered a song number.

On the side, a contest among the teachers - May Pinakamagandang Kasuotan - both individual and group, was included to add color to the occasion. The Social Studies area won in the group contest and bagged P1,000 cash. For the individual contest, the winners are: Mrs. Nerissa dela Cruz - 1st prize, Ms. Ailene de Leon - 2nd prize, and Ms. Aileen Benabese - 3rd prize. They won P500, P300, and P200 respectively.

Only the grade 6 pupils were invited to form part of the audience due to space constraint.

After the activity, the grade school staff and faculty members enjoyed the native food like okoy, laing, burong isda, etc. prepared by the teachers themselves.
