2 HS Alumni Graduated with Honors at DLSU

Nathalie Joyce S. Lim and Hazelin C. Ng, both CKSC high school graduates of class 2004 recently graduated with honors from the De La Salle University-Manila during her 150th Commencement Exercises this month held at the PICC.

Nathalie Joyce S. Lim graduated magna cum laude with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Mathematics. She was a consistent awardee of Jose Rizal Certificate which is given by the respective Dean’s Office of the university every year to consistent Dean’s First and Second Honors dean’s lister.

She had work experiences as a student teacher at St. Anthony’s High School and St. Paul’s College in Makati City. As an active leader, she served as assistant vice president and committee coordinator of civics committee of Englicom-DLSU Filipino and Chinese Organization, council of Student’s Organization and other organizations. Her research paper is “Alternative Conceptions on the Assimilation of Senior High School Students in Translating Algebraic Word Problems to Mathematical Equations” She graduated valedictorian and salutatorian in grade school and high school Chinese instruction, respectively, and was a consistent honor student in English instruction. She is the daughter of Mr. Ten Hong Lim and Mrs. Nancy S. Lim.

Hazelin Chua Ng graduated cum laude with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Management of Financial Institutions. She was a consistent dean’s lister. She participated in the 9th Intercollegiate Finance Competition this year. During high school, she was a consistent honor student in both English and Chinese instructions, a silver medalist in the Southeast Asian Countries Calligraphy Contest and a second placer in the 2001 Mathematical Olympiads. She got a certificate of Credit for being in the top 41 % of the Australian Mathematics Competition 2002. She was also a nominee for Outstanding Senior Patrol Girl Scout Leader in 2004. At DLSU, she was the vice president for academics in the Management of Financial Institutions Association and an office staff of the Green & White 2007. Her research paper is “Investment Performance and Marketability Efficiency of Life Insurance Companies in the Philippines for the Period 1996-2005”. She is the daughter of Mr. Albert Ng and Mrs. Juliet Chua Ng.
