Henry Jefferson Morco and Shannon Christa Uy, both 6-A students recently bagged the 1st Place-Team Category in the recently concluded NCR-Regional Finals in “Metrobank-MTAP-DepEd Math Challenge 2008” held last February 29 at the CKSC Auditorium.

Twenty schools, including Ateneo Grade School, Philippine Cultural High School, Xavier School, Colegio de San Agustin, San Beda College-Alabang, Hope Christian High School, St. Stephen’s High School, etc. participated in this prestigious annual contest. UNO High School took the 2nd Place while St. Jude Catholic School landed 3rd.

In the Individual Category, Henry also snatched the First Place while contestants from St. Jude Catholic School and Xavier School took the 2nd and 3rd Places respectively. The winners in the team category received gold medals, cash award and a trophy. Individual category winners received medals and cash awards. Their trainer was Mrs. Jennifer Candelario.
