Hundreds of students welcomed "Nick Takes Over Your School (NTOYS)" with loud cheers as it 'invaded' Chiang Kai Shek College last September 14. CKSC was one of the chosen school for this year's tour and, true enough, it was an adventure-filled day of games and surprises. Students got to experience Nickelodeon like they’ve never had before with popular characters jumping from the television screens into the school through a series of physical and mental tasks.

NTOYS was not just mere fun. It promoted important values like sportsmanship and team spirit through awesome activities and nine stage games called Big Time Rush: Hockey Tryouts, Robot and Monster: Build a Gadget, Winx: Fun Library, Marvin Marvin: Order in the Court, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monsuno: Finders Keepers, Korra: Water balloon Task, Grachi: Magical Key, and SpongeBob Square Pants. Of course, kids vied for the ultimate prize of stepping into the slime machine, the Slime Book, and receiving the slime time of their lives. Beyond the slime experience, their courage and hard work were rewarded with tons of freebies and prizes. The students also got to see special appearances from well-loved Nick pals, the Ninja Turtles, who dropped by to join in the fun.

Grade school students Michael Benjamin Morco and Jared Blase Sy started the festivities by parading the school flag and the Nickelodeon flag. Giving more spice to the occasion were song renditions from an all-male quartet composed of Hanns Christian Chua, Harvey Andee Co, Angelo Villamora, and Josh Patrick Cua, back-to-back with their all-gals counterpart made up of Angelique Chua, Cara Abigail Co, Jayzel Audrey Catungal, and Alyssa Claire Uy.

This year's NTOYS took on the theme “Open A Book, Open Your Mind”, encouraging the young minds to discover the magic in reading. The event was presented by Toy Kingdom, McDonalds, Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdog, Vitapops, Ace Water Spa, Wiggles, Selecta Moo, Hexbugs Nano, Sunkist, and Combi Cookie Crunch.
